For the skeptics among us, a collection a of recent urban cowboy sightings. Thanks to the readers who sent these in. Like choosing between sandwiches at Subway, renting a car at the airport is often a perfunctory experience. One selects a vehicle from a menu of mediocrity and, in return, gets what they pay for. Namely, anything from a Kia Rio to a Buick LaCrosse. The vehicles work, but they are not very enticing. And, sometimes, they are downright disgusting depending on the driver(s) that “enjoyed” them before you. But thanks to a company called Silvercar, there’s an app for that. And your rental car experience is about get a much-needed infusion from Ingolstadt – stat.
I know it's easy to pick on BMW drivers. But honestly. You can't make this stuff up. As the Gentleman Motorist recently explained, Audi has not brought the RS4 Avant to the United States. And now, sadly, Mercedes-Benz is bogarting the beautiful C63 AMG Estate. Accordingly, the Gentleman Motorist has gone full Howard Beale. Honestly, Germany—puff, puff, pass!
